AC Milan breakthrough in bid for Real Madrid's Emerson

AC Milan have employed agent Enzo Bronzetti to clinch an agreement with Real Madrid for midfielder Emerson.
Bronzetti held talks with Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic last night over the Brazilian's situation and the Milan interest. Milan also remain keen on Barcelona's Thiago Motta, but are unhappy with their £4 million asking price.

Meanwhile, with Real snapping up Wesley Sneijder and Royston Drenthe, the prospect of Emerson returning to Italy is gathering pace with Milan in the box-seat to land the veteran.
